Our mission statement is creating community and enriching experiences, or creating CEE, as our purpose is to make your experience at UCLA as enjoyable as possible and help you find a community within ASCE. Whether you are looking for networking opportunities with industry professionals, hands-on project experience, or a chance to make long lasting friendships, ASCE is here to help.

We welcome students of all majors and grade levels. No prior experience is needed to join our organization. We try to help our beginner level students including freshmen and transfers as much as possible by teaching them practical knowledge through projects and technical workshops, preparing them for networking with industry representatives through professional events, and pairing them with an upperclassman mentor to give them the opportunity to learn more about civil engineering through our mentorship program.

Some of our major events include our career fairs, company info sessions, technical workshops, socials, and mentorship events. In addition to our events, we offer twelve engineering projects: Concrete Canoe, Construction Management, Engineering X, Environmental Design, GeoWall, Navajo Project, Seismic Design, Seismic Outreach, Steel Bridge, Surveying, Timber Design Build, and Transportation.
